During prime whale-watching season, volunteers from the Whale Watch Public Education Program are at Bodega Head to answer questions about whales and their migration. Whale watching season runs from January to Mother's Day.

If you move to Bodega Bay, you may want to consider investing in a kayak or two. The bay is the perfect place for a picturesque paddle. To make sure kayaking is for you, consider renting a kayak first. Guided tours are available with rentals for beginners or those who are new to the area.

Schools in Bodega Bay

Bodega Bay is not a large city but does have a public elementary school. Middle and high school students attend school in neighboring cities, all a part of Shoreline Unified School District. The district is highly rated and many schools feature excellent class sizes and student-teacher ratios.
